About / Bio
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and I work primarily as an Intensive Marriage and Couples Co-therapist with my husband, David Rubinstein.

I have worked individually and with groups of women survivors of sexual, physical and emotional abuse, which has been very beneficial in understanding the issues that some of our clients bring to therapy.
I also maintain an Individual Counselling practice for women, integrating my skills as a student of EFT. (I look forward to being certified sometime in 2019.) Through private, in-person, telephone or online videoconference sessions, I help my clients gain a deeper understanding of how their early childhood experiences unconsciously frame the way they see the world. Together we develop ways to build self-esteem, strategies to communicate more effectively, and coping mechanisms to deal with traumatic loss. I focus on helping them create healthy and secure-functioning relationships with family, partners, friends, employers and colleagues.

I have recently been coaching women facing late-in-life challenges as they transition into their retirement years. My new project, Vibrant Beyond Sixty, is an online community dedicated to the spiritual and emotional growth of women in their 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Here, women from all over the world will share their knowledge and life experiences, building a circle of friendship, and encouraging others to lead creative and healthy lives as they grow older. My podcast and blog will provide a platform for women to share stories, offer wisdom, and inspire others to live to the fullest what could be the best third of their lives.
